Meet Dr Uma & Dr Parmar
The board-certified physicians behind Carolinas Pediatrics & Primary Care in Huntersville, NC — passionate about personalized, affordable care for families across the Lake Norman area.
Uma Periyanayagam, MD
Dr Uma is double board-certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Board of Obesity Medicine, and is also an IBCLC (board-certified lactation consultant). A Lake Norman transplant, she lives in Davidson, NC with her family.
When not at the office, Dr Uma enjoys writing, tennis, and spending time with her husband, son, and daughter. She believes it really does take a village to raise a child — and is looking forward to being a part of yours!
Chandresh A Parmar, MD
Dr Parmar is a North Carolina native, and the newest, yet most irreplaceable member of our team. Like Dr Uma, he is a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine. He serves families across Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson, and the greater Lake Norman area, and is currently accepting patients.
He attended East Carolina University and completed his Internal Medicine residency training at Mount Carmel West Hospital in Columbus, OH in 2012. Dr Parmar is passionate about improving primary care access and quality of care.
